Jung Bahadur was born on June 18, 1817 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He established the 'Rana Dynasty' in Nepal. Jung Bahadur was a brave and capable person. He got the power of Nepal's power by killing atrocious Gagan Singh. In 1846, Gagan Singh conspired with the younger queen and conspired to become the Prime Minister himself and to put the Queen's son on the throne. English Friendship
With the help of Jung Bahadur's diplomatic thought and compromise policy, Nepal remained independent, while the entire Indian subcontinent was under British rule. During the freedom struggle of 1857, he sent a team of Gurkha soldiers to help the British and established a tradition of holding 'Gurkha Brigade' in the British Army.
Administrative reform
Jung Bahadur also worked a lot towards improving and modernizing the administration of his country and amended the old Penal Code. Although he tried to end the 'Sati ', his three wives were burnt to death in his chita.
Succession orders
After being appointed the hereditary Prime Minister, Jung Bahadur felt that after him, the entire adult and the right person should be governed by him for the protection of the country. That is why he made such a succession order, according to which the Prime Minister's post could not necessarily meet the son after the father, from one brother to the other brother. In the second generation this post continued to run the sons of all the brothers in the age and in the same way to the coming generations. In this way, Jung bahadur's death, his younger brother Rana Udeep Singh becomes the Prime Minister.
For the first 50 years of the 20th century, the people of the Rana family remained in the prime minister's post. The last hereditary Prime Minister, Mohan, retired in 1951. Later, the Rana family remained very influential and powerful. In February, 1970, Yuvraj Birendra, who had been the ruler of Nepal in 1972, married the daughter of the Rana family, who became his queen.
Jung Bahadur's died at Pattharghat on February 1933 in Fagun 12 in Chhattisgarh.
